X country naval championship is a running competition organized by Indian Navy, in which all three naval commands of Indian Navy which are Eastern Naval Command, Western Naval command and Southern Naval Command send their best participants to conquer this tough competition.
This year the competition was help at INS Kadamba which is a one of the most beautiful and also one of the most strategically important naval base of Indian Navy situated near Karwar City of Karnataka. All officers and sailors of all branches of Indian Navy can participate in this competition except servicemen from sports quota.
In this competition southern naval command is consider as one of the toughest competitors because southern naval command hold the names of many training academies in its hand and according to rules of navy any command can be represented by the trainees currently present in the command hence southern command always have different choices to choose their representatives.
Marcos vs Paras Showdown
The competition become an interesting event when the news of paras vs marcos getting the heat at karwar, southern naval command had send 4 para sf operatives who belongs from 10 Para SF who were in southern naval command pursuing the combat diving course will represent southern naval command, while western command had a Marco who is quite experienced in running.
Eastern Naval command is also represented by a Marco so ultimately the sailors and other cadets who were fascinated by the endurance and physical fitness of these Special Forces operatives are expecting some high heat action.
The track on which the runner’s endurance and strength will be test is 12km long track which include 6 small hills to conquer in this 12kms. The terrain was very challenging and the runners are understanding it quite well.
D – DAY
On September 10 the race was taken place and southern command conquer the race beating the rough terrain and challenging competitors, the western naval command secure second position ,MARCO done the job for its command.
